Telemetee privacy policy
Effective October 20, 2026.
Telemetee is a golf GPS and scorecard app. It has no accounts, advertising, analytics or tracking, and it doesn't sell or share your data.
On your iPhone and in your iCloud
Your rounds, scores, putts, shots, pin marks, clubs and balls are stored on your iPhone. If you're signed in to iCloud, they also sync to your own private iCloud database through Apple's CloudKit. Telemetee's developer can't read that database. Deleting the app removes the on-device copy. You can delete the iCloud copy in your iPhone's Settings, under your iCloud storage, by choosing Telemetee. Your precise location is used on your iPhone to measure distances and to record the shots and pins you mark. It isn't sent to us.
Course search and downloads
To list and download courses, the app contacts Telemetee's course server. A search sends only the text you type or, if you choose Courses near me, your approximate location rounded to about 1 km. A download sends the identifiers of the course you chose. No account, scores, rounds, shots or continuous location are sent. The course server keeps no record of these requests. Our hosting providers, Railway and Cloudflare, receive your IP address and device type with each request, as any web server does. Railway keeps the request path, IP address and device type in its logs for up to 7 days, without the search text or location. Cloudflare may keep security event records, with the IP address and request path but not the search text or location, for up to 31 days. Railway's caching service may hold a search's response for up to 60 seconds, only to answer the same search again.
Maps
Satellite imagery is provided by Apple Maps under Apple's privacy policy. Course maps come from OpenStreetMap.
Diagnostics
The App Store version records no diagnostic logs. If you share a file from the app, it goes only where you send it.
Children
Telemetee isn't directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone.
